Waleska Buxó
Professional Career Highlights
Waleska is a Manager at Alvarado Tax & Business Advisors LLC (“ATBA”) and has over 25 years of experience in the retail and manufacturing businesses. She provides outsourcing services to multinational companies and corporate and individual tax services for clients in the retail, manufacturing, and service industries, among others.
With regards to the areas of technical experience and consulting, Waleska has experience providing sales and use tax consulting services and the withholding of services rendered and nonresident withholding to private industry clients. She has assisted multiple corporate clients with the implementation of the recent changes to the sales and use tax dispositions, which provides for the collection and remittance of this tax and has also assisted with the preparation of financial statements and with the tax provisions. Waleska has also represented clients before the Puerto Rico Treasury Department and has participated in the preparation of closing agreements and ruling requests.
Waleska earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in from the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey Campus. She has been a member of the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants since 2012.
