Professional Career Highlights
Alejandro is a Member at Alvarado Tax & Business Advisors LLC, a company dedicated to tax and business consulting services. He has over 30 years of experience, including government, public accounting, manufacturing, and the education sector.
During the years 1995-1999, Alejandro worked at the Puerto Rico Treasury Department (“Treasury”) for four years in the following executive staff positions: Assistant Secretary for Internal Revenue, Deputy Assistant for Internal Revenue, and Director of the Tax Assistance Bureau. As Assistant Secretary for Internal Revenue, he was in charge of tax policies, collections, returns processing, rulings and closing agreements.
Alejandro has a Ph.D. in business administration in accounting/finance from Trident University, a master’s degree in business administration with a major in finance from the InterAmerican University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from the University of Puerto Rico. He is a member of the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants.
