Professional Career Highlights
Carlos is a Member at Alvarado Tax & Business Advisors LLC. Prior to that, he was Partner at Zaragoza & Alvarado LLP. He is also the Operations Member in charge of our Tax Resolution Services Division and the Outsourcing Services Division.
His Curriculum Vitae also includes previous experience in the corporate and individual tax advisory area with various international accounting firms and industries. Carlos experience in industry includes seven years as the Executive Tax Director of the Puerto Rico Telephone Company and three years as Tax Manager for the Puerto Rico operations of General Electric.
Areas of Expertise
Carlos provides corporate tax services for clients in the telecommunications, manufacturing, services and retail industries. He has experience in the sales and use tax for retail and telecommunication industries. He also has experience dealing with tax exemption grants’ applications, tax audits and tax compliance. Carlos works with individual and corporate tax compliance, and provides accounting and finance support services, as well as tax resolution services at municipal, state and Federal levels.
Carlos has been speaker at many seminars on technical tax topics, including accounting for income taxes, property taxes and sales and use tax.
